Concept of Halal Quran as book of Law. يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ كُلُواْ مِمَّا فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ حَلَـٰلاً۬ طَيِّبً۬ا وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَٲتِ ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنِ‌ۚ إِنَّهُ ۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوٌّ۬ مُّبِينٌ O mankind ! eat the lawful and good things out of what is in the earth, and do not follow the footsteps of the Shaitan; surely he is your open enemy.” (Surah Al-Baqarah: 168)

  10. General requirement • Supported by muslim community • Represents all Mdahib/Fiqh, at least within its representative country • Working office

  11. Internal qualification • Qualified human power • Muslim • Food technologist, chemist, veterinarian: capable to conduct factory audit & ingredients screening • Imams : capable to issue the fatwa independently • Audit protocol • Written • Implemented

  15. Lets move one step ahead!!! • Protect local Muslim consumers !! • Increase consumer awareness • Workshops, Seminars, Media etc. • Halal is a consumer right (as consumer pays for product while trust that what ever available in Pakistan is Halal).
