  2. What is a Postcard • a postcard for sending a message by mail without an envelope, typically having a photograph or other illustration on one side

  3. What is the Difference between a Letter and a Postcard • The letter has envelope, the postcard hasn’t. • you don’t have to open a postcard. The message is right there on the front. • The address on the letter placed on the top left of the envelope, However, the address in the postcard are placed on the right side.

  4. How to Write a Postcard • Have the address of who you're going to send the postcard to. • Write the address of the person you're sending it to on the right hand side, where the postcard might have lines for you to write the address.

  5. How to Write a Postcard • Above the address you should place the stamp. • Write your message on the left hand side of the postcard. This is usually separated with a line.

  6. Your Project • The students will create a postcard to send it to the Annemarie, pretending that they are Ellen Rosen describing to her best friend how she is living in Sweden. • On the back of the postcard, students will drew characters, samples, and items that they think it is related to the story.
