  2. Clean work area • It’s important to remember that cleaning up is not a waste of time. Cleaning is a process of removing dirt cleaning staff are employed in many establishments but it is the responsibility of all employees to make sure all equipment and work areas remains clean, and the work area they work in is clean and safe. • To clean you effectively you need suitable equipment like, small equipment, cloths, brushes, mops and buckets large equipment, dishwashers, jet washers, wet and dry vacuum cleaners.

  3. Returning tools and appropriate tool use • Your boss will get really mad if you don’t put the tools back in the right place where they are suppose to be. They want you to listen to them and follow what has been asked of you.

  4. Minimize waste • Waste minimization is the process and the policy of reducing the amount of waste produced by a person or a society. To minimize waste make sure you have a recycling bin for bottles and cans.

  5. Take Care/ Safety • 5 tips for taking care of safety: • Worn tools or incorrect tool for the job • Worn, damaged or out date PPE • Potential for slips, trips of falls • Poor housekeeping • Protruding objects

  6. Dress ( appropriate wear) • When you go to work always dress appropriately never where shorts at work .

  7. Language • They want you to look people in the eye and make sure that you smile, and have a great sense of humor and good communication skills so they know what you are saying to them .

  8. Respect and Courtesy • Courtesy means that you are polite and do things for others. Respect means that is someone that you look up to like parents, siblings, grandparents, teachers, etc.. Courtesy also reminds us to remember are manners not in a traditional way but in the way regularly and sincerely express gratitude.

  9. Praise, Complaints, Criticism • You shall never complain to a customer because of you do and the manager sees you doing it you might get fired always respect them with dignity.

  10. Focus/ Distractions • They want you to focus and learn when you are working and starting your first day and if you are distracted not try to text because your manager wouldn’t allow that until your break. They want you to pay attention to them and do what is being asked of you and ask questions if you don’t know what to do and they will tell you what to do.

  11. Safety/ Health Work Environment • Five steps to a safe health and work environment: • Administrative time spent by supervisors following accident's; • Employee training and replacement cost; • Wage costs related to time lost through work stoppage; • Lost productivity related to new employee learning curves and accommodation of injured employees; • And Replacement costs of damaged material, machinery and property.

  12. Using Appropriate tools and Safety • These tools help us to easily perform tasks that otherwise would be difficult or impossible. Always use appropriate tools because if you use wrongs tools you might make a mistake or maybe get hurt.
