  14. Metadata Metadata : data about the contents, quality, condition, lineage, process, and accuracy of the data is organized in ASCII file with “.met” extension based on ISO 15046. Supplied separately for each layer in the data set. At the March 08th 2006, on ISCGMs web site has been published the Macedonian Global Map data. It is free for download through this web site (www.iscgm.org) and can be used for non-commercial purposes by governmental institutions, private sector and other non-commercial users.

  24. Zletovo Mine MACEDONIA SOIL MANAGEMENT GIS DATABASE FOR THE STUDY ON CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT FOR MINING RELATED SOIL POLLUTION IN THE ZLETOVO MINE AREA The objective of this study is to conduct technical assistance for capacity development (CD), concerning legislation, administration system and organizational structure, for soil contamination management related to mining in the Republic of Macedonia through a pilot project (P/P) that includes soil contamination survey, analysis, interpretation, planning for countermeasures and risk assessment for land use. The objective of this implementation is to: 1) to produce GIS database of all the collected information for this project 2) to introduce GIS to C/P as a tool to manage, integrate, visualize, and present data related to soil contamination 3) to utilize GIS database for further soil contamination management

  28. MINERAL DEPOSIT EXPLOITATION AND GEOLOGICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS Mission to: • scan all paper maps, • convert them into vector data, • create database models for geological, hydro geological and engineering geology units, • simplify the process for concession requests, • simplify and standardize the process of creation geological maps. System is designed with two servers: • one Database server for ArcSDE with Oracle as database for storage of all geological and topographic scanned maps as well as for all the vector data in the database. • one WEB Server for ArcIMS which is responsible for fast, seamless, effective data sharing through Internet and Intranet applications that were developed.

  29. Created applications: 1. Internet/Intranet application- Application used for applying for concession over the internet, or just viewing the geological resources as well as intranet approval of the application 2. ArcMap desktop application – Application for entering newly accepted concessions into a feature class 3. Application for document management for concessions 4. ArcPAD extension- An add-on to the ArcPAD interface used for controlling the clients progress

  30. Document management: Internet/intranet applications:

  31. ArcMap applications: ArcPad applications:

  32. SDI in T-HOME Currently in T-Home system consist of 3 applications: – STELA (System for Telephone Architecture ) covers technical inventory copper network, access network elements, input of new technical data, maintenance of technical data and complete Trouble Ticketing process – IDTKS (Integrated Data for TK Systems) is modular solution which consists of modules for statistical data, switching systems, cable ducts, optical cables , transmission systems, power supply systems, cooper cables and real estate data – GIS system based on ESRI platform – centralized geodatabase for geographical presentation of all technical data from above mentioned system

  33. Architecture of GIS in T-Home:

  34. Geodatabase:

  35. Data entered in the centralized GIS database – Administrative borders of all settled places in RM – Address model for all cities in RM – Distribution points – All public payphones coordinates – All MakTel buildings coordinates – Optical cables – Cable Ducts – Copper cables – Raster data: 1:500, 1:1000, 1:2500, 1: 5000, 1:25000, 1:50000 and 1:200000 – Data prepared but not entered in the database – Digital terrain model of R.Makedonija – 3D model of Skopje city
