1. Order the DVD onlinefor free https://gibmp.ifas.ufl.edu 2. Re-use a DVD obtained by someone else - Individually Online:

Create a new user account or log into an existing account to manage your training steps 2. Register to use the DVD Training by entering the DVD serial number - Batch Registration (employer/facilitator):

Obtain the Excel template from the State Office Fill in all information for each person being trained Send to the State Office -
View the DVD
All six modules must be viewed fully before taking the test. Viewing at any pace – no time limit for viewing. - Sign the Affidavit Individually Online: Log on to your GI-BMP user account “Sign” the onlineAffidavit of Completion
- Sign the Affidavit In person - paper: For batch registration, the State Office sends affidavits to group training facilitator or test proctor
- Taking the Test Online Test ($15): After individual or group viewings: Purchase for yourself or use a coupon purchased by employer Take at your convenience Must complete test in one single session, one-hour time limit Two attempts allowed Results available immediately, certificate mailed next business day Includes access to all online training modules and “practice” quizzes
- Taking the Test Individually at Extension Office (Free): Print a test voucher online, or obtain voucher from State Office Make an appointment with the Extension Office Extension proctor requests test from State Office Student must present ID and test voucher prior to testing Tests are mailed to the State Office for processing Certificates mailed within two weeks of test date
- Taking the Test In-House Testing: Test must be proctored by a pre-authorized, GI-BMP-certified CPCO/L&O license holder or a GI-BMP Certified instructor Proctor must request tests from the State Office 10 days in advance Test requests must be for specific registered students Students must provide identification and sign an affidavit prior to testing Tests are sent to State Office for processing Certificates sent within two weeks of test date

- Get a Training Provider Account Get a GatorLink ID. If you don’t already have an active GatorLink (UF log-in), use this link to get started: http://fyn.ifas.ufl.edu/instructor-gl.htm Request a Training Provider account by submitting your name and GatorLink ID here: http://fyn.ifas.ufl.edu/provider-account.htm Every user must have a unique log-in account. Non-Instructor staff handling class administration should also request accounts.

- Fact or Fiction? Training Records are only required for students who are taking the GI-BMP test during class. #1
- Fact or Fiction? Training records are required for everyone who takes the class.
- Fact or Fiction? GI-BMP certificates need to be renewed every four years. #2
- Fact or Fiction? GI-BMP Certificates never expire.
- Fact or Fiction? The FDACS LCFAC certificate needs to be renewed every four years. #3
- Fact or Fiction? The LCFAC certificate issued by FDACS is valid for four (4) years from the date it is issued.
- Fact or Fiction? Accommodations may be made for people with learning disabilities. #4
- Fact or Fiction? With a doctor’s note, accommodations for some learning disabilities may be made.
- Fact or Fiction? Every fertilizer applicator must have a Certificate of Completion in the BMPs and FDACS LCFAC by January 2014. #5
- Fact or Fiction? Only those who apply fertilizers commercially for hire to property not owned by themselves, their firm, or their employer, need to have the GI-BMP and FDACS LCFAC certificate. For instance, an employee of a stadium, school board, golf course or apartment complex would be exempt, but an employee of a landscape contractor hiredto fertilize the property would be required to hold a valid FDACS certificate.
- Fact or Fiction? Test packets must be sent to the State Office within 7 days after the class date. #6
- Fact or Fiction? The State Office processes classes within two days of receiving the class at the office. The sooner we receive the materials, the better!
