  5. Developing & conducting a project • Gain an understanding on how to design a community based programme • Review literature and produce a rationale for the Healthy Workplaces project • Review concept brief and project plan of previous financial year • Update project plan for 2011

  6. Developing & conducting a project • Develop skills in conducting workshops • Determine how the process for presenting Healthy Workplaces was developed • Co-facilitate a Healthy Workplaces workshop as a pilot (subject to time availability)

  7. Developing & conducting a project • Develop skills in producing workbooks • Review the current healthy workplaces workbook • Research and review ideas for a Health Workplaces Trainer’s Manual • Develop a Concept Brief for the Trainer’s Manual

Evaluation Skills • Gain an understanding on how to evaluate a community based programme • Liaise with the externally appointed evaluator to evaluate the 2008-2010 pilot project • Evaluate the Healthy Workplaces Initiative • Healthy Workplaces Initiative • Healthy Workplaces Workbook • Healthy Workplaces Workshop

Evaluation Skills • Develop skills in determining the success of materials used throughout the programme • Collate feedback of the Healthy Workplaces Workbook from recipients of the original workbook • Review the healthy Workplaces Workbook for content, as well as formatting, punctuation, spelling etc and assist HPO to develop new draft

Professional Development • To gain an insight into the practice of health promotion in Southern Regional Services and a Public Health Unit • Attend all team meetings • Converse with various Health Promotion Officers at the DDPHU regarding their current project, roles and responsibilities • Read the Health Promotion orientation website

  13. Professional Development • To be able to reflect on my development as a health promotion professional • Present key findings and recommendations to the Health Promotion team of the DDPHU • Develop a project report • Make reflections in Weblog activities and discussions (CQU discussion board)
