  2. Atheist Religion Currently the main religion in Mexico is Christianity. When the Spaniards conquered they forced natives to convert to this religion. If Zheng He had conquered the most common religion would be atheism. Like many other countries ruled by communism China’s government have stated that that is the official religion. Even though that is the official religion, Buddhism and Taoism are religions that are a big part of the Chinese community.

  3. Closed-Door Policy Currently México has a mostly open door policy, everybody can access the internet but once in a while journalists are killed for their writing. If Zheng He had conquered the internet would be censored. In schools we would only be able to learn about subjects that the government approve. There would be very few individual companies that are not owned by the government. Writing in journals and newspaper would be only with the approval of the government.

  4. Speak Mandarin Now I speak spanish. This is my language because when the Spaniards came and conquered they introduced the language. If Zheng He had conquered I would be speaking Mandarin because Mandarin is the most spoken language in China. In the ships that colonized there would have been undoubtedly a vast majority that spoke Mandarin leading to the spread of that language.

  5. Eat Dogs Currently I have 2 Dachshund dogs. They are originally from Germany but through trade they have been brought from Mexico. If Zheng He had conquered I wouldn’t have Dachshund dogs. Because of their closed door policy they probably wouldn’t have been transported to México. To add on rather than having dogs as pets they would be on our diet. In ancient China dogs were part of the daily diet and considered edible and dietary meat.

  6. Fan Dance Currently in méxico people have the folkloric dances. In these dances they dance with sonajas to the music of the mariachis. If Zheng He has conquered we would be dancing the fan dance. The fan dance was first performed as ceremonial rituals. This dance uses made of ivory, bamboo, jade and bird feathers. We would be dancing this in Chinese celebration's like New Years Eve.

  7. Taijiquan Currently I got to boxing classes which originated in Greece. If Zheng He had conquered I would be going to Taijiquan classes. Taijiquan is a traditional Chinesse sport. It is a type of martial arts that is practiced to improve health and achieve defensive training.

  8. Improved Security Currently in Nuevo Leon there has been a lot of insecurity due to the drug lords fighting against the police and other illegal groups If Zheng He had conquered there would not be any problems with drug lords. Even though China has a begun to have a large amount of illicit drugs being moved due to its increase in population the government handle it really well. They are working with the U.S and other countries to eliminate illegal drugs.

  9. Communist Government Currently, Mexico has a democratic government. There a a variety of political parties that elect a candidate for which the people can later on vote on in the elections. If Zheng He had conquered the government would be Communist. There would only be 1 party which would elect their own candidate for the presidency. That candidate would later on pass directly to the role, no opinion of the people would be required.

  10. Chinese Music Currently in Mexico the traditional music are cumbias and mariachis. If Zheng He had conquered the music we would be listening to would be Chinese Music. This music was first started by Confucius in his rituals. Chinese music uses a scale that uses a five tone scale rather than eight and is sung in Chinese. It is played with the Gongs, Bawu, Guzheng, Erhu and many other instruments.

  11. Chinese New Year’s Eve Currently in México we celebrate New Year’s December 31 at 12 p.m. when the new year I starting If Zheng He had conquered the New Year’s would a huge celebration. In China the traditional calendar does not use continuously numbered years so each year it lands on a different date. New year is also know as “Spring Festival” since is marks the end of the winter season. We would celebrate by putting up red color paper-cuts with themes of “good fortune” and “happiness”
