This report summarizes the proceedings of the Tribal Data Development Working Group Meeting held in Lapwai, Idaho on July 26-27, 2006, presented by Jenifer Pond, Tech Specialist for the TEISS Fire Calculator. Key outcomes include the approval to add the Wyoming Fire Calculator to TEISS and updates on online training efforts with six participants completing the WebCourse in June. The meeting also covered the number of tribes trained in using TEISS and upcoming reconciliation calls addressing emission data for tribes.

TEISS Fire Calculator • TDDWG approved adding WY fire calculator to TEISS • Lakes has completed testing on the fire calculator • Fire calculator and release documentation will be added to the latest version of TEISS to be released: July 11, 2006 • ITEP staff will test the fire calculator and provide comments to Lakes
TEISS Training Update • ITEP received funds from OAQPS to develop a TEISS online WebCourse • The first offering of the online TEISS Web course was held June 5-16, 2006 • There were 6 participants for the June training • The next scheduled WebCourse offering is September 11-22, 2006

TEISS Training Summary • Including the upcoming March TEISS Training: • 72 People from WRAP Tribes have been trained in the 3-day workshop, Adv TEISS sessions and online training course • 41 WRAP Tribes have been trained to use TEISS • Common reasons for more than 1 person from a tribe taking workshop • More than 1 person will work on the EI • Turnover of tribal staff • Only 1 tribe has sent staff to repeat the workshop (person was at very first workshop in April 2004 (using v1.2) starting EI in spring 2006 (using v1.8).
Point Source Project Update • Received final reports from ERG 2/21/06. • ITEP prepared TEISS projects to send to participating tribes • ITEP mailed TEISS projects, a cover letter and the final reports to the participating Tribes April 18, 2006
Tribal EI Reconciliation • Reconciliation call was held June 22, 2006 • Participants included Nez Perce Tribe, ID Dept of Environmental Quality and ITEP staff • No tribal/state data overlap has occurred in the EDMS however, NPT would like to have mobile source data displayed for the reservation in the EDMS • If mobile source data is not currently displayed for NPT IDEQ will work with the tribe to allocate county level emissions to reservation level
Tribal EI Reconciliation cont. • Next scheduled EI reconciliation call is set for July 18 between Ft. Belknap and Montana Dept of Environmental Quality
