Herding Group History • This group retains the most primal instincts decendant from wolves • Humans have trained them to stop short of the kill and work with a human handler • Dogs in this group have a variety of methods to control their herds. • Nip, bark, stalk and stare, circle, or cut. • Group includes: German Shepherd Dog, Cardigan and Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Shetland Sheepdog, Australian Cattle Dog, Collie, etc…

  3. Herding Group Special Requests • This group typically has great stamina, therefore, at least 30-45 minutes of high-energy exercise is required. • Make exercise a challenge if done in a small area. • Utilize the dog’s intellect and keep them working for a reward • This group commonly excels at agility type training.
