  5. Privacy Assumptions • Assume that ANYTHING that you put on the internet can be accessed later • Once something is on the internet, it’s on there forever

Predators • Sex offenders • Search in Google for National Sex Offender Registry • 77% of the targets for online predators were age 14 or older.  Another 22% were users ages 10 to 13. • 27% of middle- and high-school students know someone who has made friends with a much older (at least 5 years older) person on the Internet
