LIFE • 1885- HE WAS BORN IN ELMSHORN GERMANY. • 1955- HE DIED IN ELMSHORN GERMANY.
JOBS • 1902- HE BECAME A COWORKER OF HILBERT WHO INFLUENCED HIS PARTICULAR INTEREST AND HIS GERNERAL OUTLOOK ON MATHMATHTICS.1930- he returned to Göttingen to take up the chair vacated by Hilbert. With the Nazis' rise to power in 1933, Weyl, with many other members of the Göttingen scientific community, went into exile in America.
FAMOUSNESS • He made contributions in many different fields, some of which include: integral equations, harmonic analysis, analytical number theory, and foundations of mathematics. However, he is most famous for his advances in geometric function theory, the theory of compact groups, and theoretical physics.
OTHER WORKS IN MATH • His contributions to physics in the 20th century were very important. He influenced all three of the major fields of physics through his findings. The three fields included relativity, quantum mechanics, and unified field theory. • Weyl also wrote the book "The Theory of Groups and Quantum Mechanics" about his advances in the fields of mathematics and physics.
DEATH 1955- WHEN HE DIED IN ELMSHORNE HE DIED A VERY FAMOUS MAN. HE WAS THE CHAIRMEN OF HILBERTS FOUNDATION.
