CC Evolution • B513 – New IT room • For critical equipment only • 90 racks – 450kW – Passive water-cooled racks • Dedicated and redundant cooling installation • Available November 2012 • First servers end-2012/beginning-2013 • In principle, no move of servers – move of services • B513 – Other improvements • Better cooling (and fire protection) of telecom areas • Better cooling of R-050 in case of power cut SAO – Feb 2012 - 100611 - 2

CC Evolution • Remote Centre • Decision known end-March • First servers early 2013, if possible before • Procurement, system administration and part of the Operations done by CF with our standard tools and workflows • Hw repairs and part of the operations done by the remote centre • Many “details” to arrange SAO – Feb 2012 - 100611 - 6

TOOLS • ServiceNow • Will replace ITCM and HMS • Aggressive timing • Agile • Will replace Lemon (including CDB, LEAF, LAS, etc) • High priority • Should nicely interface with our tools (Remedy/SNOW) • SAO should be able to work with adequate tools • Everyone encouraged to follow new developments – Fabio in charge for sysadmins, Anthony for operations • We have to ensure that our needs are correctly understood and implemented SAO – Feb 2012 - 100611 - 7
