BREAKING THE STEREOTYPES Heavy music often carries with it the perception of being… “thuggish” “violent” “negative” “disgusting” “hateful” “misogynist” “shallow” To those that don’t care to look beneath surfaces, Converge’s live shows may seem only to reinforce the stereotypes that heavy music is little more than noise and violence. Be careful not to mistake the passion and intensity of these concerts for mindlessness. To attend a live Converge show is to participate in a cathartic release of energy. And it is indeed, positive.
