In our recent lab experience, we analyzed the effectiveness of landfill designs and management techniques. During our discussion, I asked a classmate about their insights on what strategies worked best and what improvements they would suggest. One key question arose: Is it feasible to construct a landfill that completely prevents leachate from escaping into the environment? Despite advances in technology, it appears that the inherent characteristics of waste and environmental interactions pose significant challenges, making absolute prevention unlikely.
