  2. PRE-AWARD PROCESS

  3. COMPETITIVE GRANT PROCESS • The program office discusses procurement needs with the Office of Procurement Services. • The Solicitation for Cooperative Agreement Application (SGA) is developed and includes evaluation criteria. • SGA availability is announced through Grants. Gov. • Applicants submit proposals by due date. • Proposals are reviewed by Procurement Services to determine if they are fully responsive and can be considered for an award. • Responsive proposals are forwarded to the Evaluation Panel for review.

  4. Continuation • Evaluation Panel reviews proposals and score them according to stated evaluation criteria noted in the SGA. • Evaluation Panel conducts the review and makes the recommendation to the Office of Procurement Services (OPS) Grant Officer. • Successful Applicants are notified. • Cooperative Agreements are developed by OCFT & OPS. • All awards are completed prior to September 30, 2008 • Unsuccessful applicants are notified and debriefed (upon request).

  6. Getting Registered • All Interested parties must complete the Grants.gov registration process at www.grants.gov. • The registration process can take three-five business or as long as two weeks if all steps are not completed on a timely basis. • Please register early

  7. Downloading Software • PureEdge Viewer • In order to view the downloaded application package, you will need to install the PureEdge Viewer.

  8. Applying for Grants • Download a Grant Application Package • Complete The Grant Application Package • Submit the Completed Grant Application Package • Applications Must be Received by the Due Date Noted on the SGA

  9. Tracking Your Application • Confirmed receipt of you application by Grants.gov • Confirmed receipt of application being accepted or rejected due to errors

  10. Tracking the Status of a Submitted Application • Log on to Grants.Gov • Click Application Status • Please Submit Early

  11. Problems • Who can I talk to about a problem I'm having? • If you are having a problem and have not found an answer in any of the other resources, call 1-800-518-4726 to speak to a Customer Support Representative or email support@grants.gov. • If I sent an email and got an automatic response, when will I receive the answer to my question? • Your email will be responded to quickly. A Customer Support Representative will address your issue and contact you soon after they receive the email.
