Georgia Power Wins 3rd National Energy Star Award US EPA and US DOE program helping us save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices. • Energy efficiency messages delivered to more than 185,980,886 people • Distributed more than 333,000 compact fluorescent bulbs • Refrigerator Recycling Campaign in Metro Atlanta • Over 45 in-store events to educate consumers on the benefits of Energy-Star products • Up to $1900 in rebates available to Metro Atlanta homeowners that implement energy improvements

Georgia Power’s Stewardship Programs“A Citizen Wherever We Serve” • A volunteer program that removes debris from rivers and other waterways throughout the Southeast • Teams work throughout the state biannually • In 2008, 1502 Ga Power employees removed 101.5 tons trash removed from Georgia lakes and rivers

Georgia Power’s Waste Efficiency and Recycling Program • Waste handling and recycling outsourced to a single vendor • Each facility has a waste audit to help them identify recycling opportunities and reduce waste hauling/costs • Many facilities haul waste to a centralized location • The new standard for waste handling at Ga Power; now able to gather data on waste and recycling volumes for locations Universal Desk Size Containers Haul-back Container
