  1. This week we have… • Tuesday afternoon: we put the preschool waterproofs on and went for a nature walk, splashing in lots of puddles and in the stream on the way. • Arts and Crafts/Cookery: we painted and printed using leaves to make Autumn leaves for our display. Made a delicious apple and blackberry crumble. The children had great fun using knives to safely cut up the apple and mixing the crumble, even more fun eating the crumble for snack!! • Music and Movement: This week Rebecca (one of our neighbours!) brought in a euphonium and trombone to show the children. It was quite noisy and a couple of the children managed to make an impressive sound – budding brass players! If you have a musical instrument that you could bring in to show the children we would love to hear from you. Favourite songs this week have been: “Five Currant buns in a bakers shop” and • Next week… • Please, please bring back any library books that you have at home or take them to your local library. • Notices/Dates: • Just a reminder that the school registration for September 2014 is now open. • Could you please try not to send your children in to preschool wearing tights on a Tuesday morning as the time needed to change in and out of them is eating into our PE session! We do PE in bare feet, so short socks with leggings or trousers would be much appreciated – thank you! • 2 Year Checks – if you have questionnaires completed by your health visitor when your child turned 2, could you please bring them in for us to photocopy and keep on file. This is an Ofsted requirement. Thank you. • Tomorrow - Sat 28th September: We will be holding a working garden party from 10am. Please come along and support us. Children welcome. Coffee and snacks provided! • French Club- Term begins Monday 7th October 9.30am (please speak to Julie if you require further details). • Thurs 16thOctober: 2-4pm Tempest Photography are coming in to take professional family photos. A sign up sheet is on the door onto the decking. • Wed 16th October: AGM. Drinks at 7.45 for 8pm start. Please come along to find out more about how the preschool runs • Show and Tell: Please encourage the children to bring items in relating to ‘numbers’ for our Numeracy Week- thank you. • From the Committee: • Working Garden Party from 10 am.
