Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Matt 6:25 (NKJV) • Dwelling continuously upon the negative. • Effects how one thinks and what one does.

  3. WHAT WORRY DOES • Affect ones health. • Negatively impacts our spiritual productivity. • Diminishes the peace of God. • Affects the way we treat others.

  4. “Worry is like a rocking chair; it will give you something to do, but it won’t get you anywhere.”

HOW TO OVERCOME WORRY “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;” Phil 4:6 (NKJV) Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7 (NKJV) Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. Psalms 55:22 (NKJV) PRAYER

  10. HOW TO OVERCOME WORRY • Name one thing in your life where worrying about it changed the outcome. • Name one instance when worry contributed to any benefit in your life. “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” Matt 6:27 (NKJV)

  12. WE OFTEN WORRY ABOUT THINGS THAT NEVER HAPPEN “WHAT IF . . .”

And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.42But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."
