Team Investigation… • With your team simplify the given expressions using the Order or Operations. • When you are done draw lines between any expressions that have the same solution. • Last reflect with you team about What similarities do you notice between the expressions that you matched from “Column 1” and “Column 2?” • Do you see any patterns or trends?

  5. You can even use the distributive property backwards to help find the answer to a difficult multiplication problem. For example…try to multiply 9(107) by doing… 9(107) = 9(100 + 7) = 9(100) + 9(7) = 900 + 63 = 963
