Exploring the Wonders of Tropical Rainforests: Geography, Climate, and Biodiversity

Tropical rainforests are lush ecosystems located near the equator, primarily in southern Mexico, South America, eastern and central Africa, Indonesia, and New Zealand. These forests feature a rich diversity of flora and fauna, including famed species like jaguars, macaws, and strangler figs. Characterized by warm temperatures averaging around 80°F and over 250 cm of annual rainfall, tropical rainforests boast unique adaptations that allow plants to efficiently shed excess water. However, their soil is often poor and thin, impacting nutrient availability.
