PROJECT BACKGROUND In 2002 the WLTS (West London Transport Strategy Group) identified a need for the development of an application that could: • Store Travel Plan documents in a centralised location. • Contain a GIS mapping element to: • identify and link Travel Plan location site • show transport linkages in relation to organisations • Record Travel Plan organisation information. • Capture Travel Plan target and survey data. • Produce specific reports from captured Travel Plan data.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT • TfL, via WLTS,fund the project. • London Borough of Ealing led project on behalf of WLTS. • iBase chosen to develop a suitable software application. • June 2004 the London Borough of Brent took over the project at the pilot & testing stage. • Brent/TfL now progressing the next phase of development PARTNERS

TheiTRACE Application consists of two main components: 1 A front end GIS based data entry tool (GRIP) - Which geo-locates specific site locations on a map within an authority area and enables the user to attach Travel Plan related data to that site. Including: • Workplace Travel Plan Data • School Travel Plan Data

TheiTRACE Application consists of two main components: 1 A GIS based data entry tool (GRIP) - Which geo-locates specific site locations on a map within an authority area and enables the user to attach Travel Plan related data to that site. Including: • Workplace Travel Plan Data • School Travel Plan Data 2 iTRACE Administration module - Allowing the user to administer and report on the performance of individual Travel Plans against predetermined indicators.
