This document presents the key findings from the 2013 Faculty/Staff Climate Survey conducted at VCU under KerryAnn O'Meara's Building the Plane as We Fly It initiative. Strengths identified include positive relationships with colleagues, department leaders, and an inclusive working environment. Areas of concern highlighted include perceptions of senior administration, rewards and recognition, and support for development. Key opportunities for improvement also include upward communication and concerns about the treatment of collateral and adjunct faculty.
