  3. Overview of Estonian tyre market in 2004 • No official import and sales figures about pcs • Estimated Estonian passenger car tyre market is ~400000 pcs per year • Estimated Estonian truck tyre market is ~75000 pcs per year STRO meeting 24.11.2005

  4. Overwiew of the Estonian retreading market in 2004 • 7 truck tyre retreaders and 2 passenger car tyre retreaders • Using a little questionary I got some essential information about year 2004 STRO meeting 24.11.2005

  5. Estonian passenger car tyre retreading in 2004 (1) • 2 retreaders : Master AS and Vallai AS produced ~104000 tyres • Their export to (EU )~33000 tyres • Estimated 18 % of locally retreaded tyres from passenger car tyres market ( total ~400000 pcs) STRO meeting 24.11.2005

Estonian truck tyre retreading in 2004(3) • Truck tyre retreading turnover ~78 million eek (~5million eur) • In November 2005 we have 8 truck tyre retreaders (new retreader is Rehviekspert AS) and 5 have allready E-109 sertificate, 2 will get this in 2005 and 1 in 2006.   12. Estonian truck tyre retreading in 2004(4) • Market was shared quite evenly by brands. • One truck tyre retreader - Regum AS produces his own tread • Production volumes differed from 1300 pcs per year to ~8000 pcs per year • 74% of retreaded casings were from Estonia STRO meeting 24.11.2005

  13. Conclusion • Domestic passenger car tyre retreaders had a 18% share of Estonian market • Local truck tyre retreading exceeded 50 % of Estonian market • From 10 retreaders 7 have a E-certificate. STRO meeting 24.11.2005
