  1. Conference Announcement Adult Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine and Disease Organisers: Annette P. Meeson, I. J. Harvey, B. K. Shenton The North-East England Stem Cell Institute (NESCI) and Institute for Cellular Medicine (ICM) are pleased to announce the first Newcastle conference focussed on Adult Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine and Disease to take place on August 26th – 27th, at the Civic Center, Newcastle upon Tyne. Both UK and International speakers are being invited to present, confirmed speakers include: John Stingl – Cambridge Research Institute Anthony Mathur – Barts and the London Wael Kafienah – University of Bristol Thomas Hawke - McMaster University Ian MacKenzie - Barts and the London Stuart Forbes –University of Edinburgh Matthew Smalley – Chester Beatty Laboratories Lynne Postovit – University of Western Ontario Gillian Farne – University of Manchester Sajjad Ahmad - NESCI Kelly Britton – ICM/NESCI Natasha Rigas - NICR There will also be a poster session and commercial display A complete program and booking information is available at http://www.nesci.ac.uk/about/conferences/adult09/
