  9. Myths and fallacies of a National System National system would cost exponentially more as you would be taking away competitive pressure. Loss of local knowledge Document turnaround times would suffer OCR methods would suffer due to multiple inconsistencies with submitted forms Chain of title would be increasingly difficult to determine States control real-estate law. This would be lost in a national system. Public access would suffer A national system would create a gap between the citizen and their government.
