2. Legionowski Poviatharbourage by the lake Legionowski Poviat is situated in the central part of Mazovia Lowland. It includes the territory of five communes: Jabłonna, Legionowo, Nieporęt, Serock and Wieliszew. It is surrounded by Nowodworski Poviat (on the west), Wyszkowski and Wołomiński Poviats (on the east), Pułtuski Poviat (on the north) and Warsaw (on the south). It covers the area of 39.278 ha, there are nearly 98 thousand inhabitants 50 thousand of whom live in Legionowo.

The huge part of poviat area is included in Warsaw Protected Landscape Area. There are ten nature reservations there: „Wąwóz Szaniawskiego”, „Zegrze”, „Jabłonna”, „Łęgi Czarnej Strugi”, „Bukowiec Jabłonowski”, „Wieliszewskie Łęgi”, „Puszcza Słupecka”, „Jadwisin”, „Ławice Kiełpińskie” and „Kępy Kazuńskie”.

The vicinity of Warsaw and important transportation route (domestic road No. 61 from Warsaw through Lomza and Ostroleka to Augustow) crossing its area cause that domestic and foreign investors are interested in founding their business here. One can find headquarters of international food companies and enterprises with foreign capital here.
