The prince Siegfried finds himself alone in a peaceful spot by an enthralled lake where swans gently float across its surface and realizes that a beautiful swan transforms its self into a very attracting woman. He than figures out that the woman has been cursed and the only way of breaking that curse is if the Prince, pure in his heart, pledges his love to her.

Since he had just turned 21 years old, his mother gave him a crossbow and told him that she will be arranging his marriage quickly. Because of what his mother told him, he was hit suddenly with the realization of marriage and responsibilities he will be taking in the future; therefore, he took the crossbow and rushed out of the celebration to the woods with his hunting friends.

  8. Act two of Swan lake • As Prince Siegfried finds himself alone by the enchanted lake, he finds a beautiful swan with a crown on it. Amazed by the beauty of it, when his friends met up with him by the lake, he asks his friends to leave so he can by himself. Now that he is left alone, the swan had decided to turn itself into a beautiful young lady named Odette knows as the “Swan Queen” who happens to be the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. Odette informs the prince that Von Rothbart, an evil sorcerer who is disguised as the prince’s mentor, turned her and the other girls into swans and the lake is made out of tears wept by their parents. Because of this tragedy, in order for the spell to be broken, prince Siegfried has to pledge his true love for her; however, as he was about to confess his true love for her, the evil sorcerer interrupts as he takes Odette from Prince Siegfried’s embrace and demands the swans to dance upon the lake so the prince will not be able to chase them. Once Odette is taken away and the swans start dancing, Prince Siegfried is left alone by the Swan Lake.

  9. Act three of swan lake • The following day, Prince Siegfried is presented by many princesses at the Royal Hall. Although he was presented by many princesses, he still cannot stop thinking about Odette. When his mother commands him to pick one of the princesses as his bride, he rejects it; however though, he does accept his mother’s request of dancing with them. As the trumpets announce the arrival of Von Rothbart, he is shown to appear with his daughter Odile, who he has cast a spell on to appear as Odette. Amazed by her beauty, he dances with Odette’s evil twin while the real Odette watches from the window. Because he had developed strong feelings for Odette, he had confessed his true love for her. Since he confessed his true love for Odile pretending to be Odette, Prince Siegfried finds the real Odette flees into the night and realizes his mistake.
