  2. Use your five senses. Describe several Halloween sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and touches.

  3. What was the best Halloween you've ever had? Tell what you did, when you did it, where you did it, who you did it with, and why you enjoyed it.

  4. Listen as the excerpts are read from Dinner with Dracula. • Observe the pictures. • Write a poem or short, short story about Halloween.

  5. The black cat twitched its tail twice. It hissed. Then ... Finish the rest of the paragraph!

  6. Listen as the story is read aloud. • Observe the pictures. • Think: What were you afraid of as a child? • Write: An entry that explains what you were most afraid of as a kid.
