Strangeness – ITTF Integration

This document outlines the integration of strangeness into the ITTF framework for improving the precision of V0 and Xi finding routines. It highlights the current state of code, which is crucial for identifying non-charged particle tracks. The goal is to develop new code that leverages existing routines while maintaining speed and efficiency. Testing will occur on production output, facilitating rapid advancements. With a plan for operational readiness by summer, the collaborative efforts of the team are focused on resolving existing issues and enhancing performance.

  1. Strangeness – ITTF Integration For Julien Faivre, Gene Van Buren, Amy ?

  2. V0 Finding - 2001

  3. Xi Finding - More Precise Look Lots of routines already needed for V0 finding V0 is nothing other than a non-charged charged track

  4. The Master Plan Write new code for V0 and Xi Finders that read and write StEvent Advantage is we can test on production output – much fast Have to AT LEAST find what fortran code does – Might be in fortran but this code is GOOD!!!!!! Some speed issues – Might now be slower as StHelix not specialised to what we want to do. However maybe compiler wins for us Trying to write as Plug-and-Play so can be re-utilised in L3 (Gene and Co) Plan to have operational by the summer – Some stuff already done, great minds are at work (not mine)

  5. DON’T PANIC We think we have this under control No there is a problem and have people identified and Even WILLING to solve problem
