Innovative Sink Design: Reducing Germ Spread with Foot Pedals

The pervasive issue of germs on sink handles poses health risks as bacteria can easily spread and make people sick. While previous attempts to mitigate this problem, like motion sensors, have been made, they often introduce new flaws or complications. My new design features foot pedals on the floor to control water flow. Users can turn the water on by applying pressure to the foot pedal, ensuring a hands-free experience that minimizes germ transfer. However, this solution may come with added costs due to the required additional materials.
