  1. Sermon notes @ http://bible.com/e/138I

  2. How Great Thou Art O Lord my God when I in awesome wonder Consider all the works Thy hands have made I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder Thy pow’r throughout the universe displayed.

  3. When through the woods and forest glades I wander and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees. When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze.

  4. Then sings my soul, “My Savior, God,” to Thee, “How great Thou art! How great Thou art!” (2x)

  5. And when I think that God, His Son not sparing, Sent Him to die – I scarce can take it in. That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away our sin.

  6. Then sings my soul, “My Savior, God,” to Thee, “How great Thou art! How great Thou art!” (2x)

  7. When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation And make His home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration And there proclaim, “My God, how great Thou art!”

  8. Then sings my soul, “My Savior, God,” to Thee, “How great Thou art! How great Thou art!” (2x) “How Great Thou Art” Words: Carl Gustav Boberg (1886) & Stuart Hine (1949) Arr: Revolution Church CCLI: 11148322

  34. MEANING (LESS): “Turkey for One?” Ecclesiastes 4:4-16 Sermon notes @ http://bible.com/e/138I

  35. Ecclesiastes 4:4-16 Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man's envy of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind. 5 The fool folds his hands and eats his own flesh. 6 Better is a handful of quietness than two hands full of toil and a striving after wind. 7Again, I saw vanity under the sun: 8 one person who has no other, either son or brother, yet there is no end to all his toil, and his eyes are never satisfied with riches, so that he never asks, “For whom am I toiling and depriving myself of pleasure?” This also is vanity and an unhappy business.

  36. 9Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? 12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

  37. 13 Better was a poor and wise youth than an old and foolish king who no longer knew how to take advice. 14 For he went from prison to the throne, though in his own kingdom he had been born poor. 15 I saw all the living who move about under the sun, along with that youth who was to stand in the king's place. 16 There was no end of all the people, all of whom he led. Yet those who come later will not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and a striving after wind.

  38. Ecclesiastes 4:4-6 Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man's envy of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind. 5 The fool folds his hands and eats his own flesh. 6 Better is a handful of quietness than two hands full of toil and a striving after wind.

  39. Ecclesiastes 4:7-12 Again, I saw vanity under the sun: 8 one person who has no other, either son or brother, yet there is no end to all his toil, and his eyes are never satisfied with riches, so that he never asks, “For whom am I toiling and depriving myself of pleasure?” This also is vanity and an unhappy business.

  40. 9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.

  41. 42. Gospel Application: 1)What is robbing us of rest? 2)When we are alone where do we turn? 3) How will the Gospel cause us to rest in Jesus and remind each other of this as the only Hope for the World?

  43. Do this in remembrance of me…

  44. 2 Corinthians 9:7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
