Agree on when the statement is going to be written A deadline is important to ensure the statement is written 3. Determine the target audience It makes sense to decide who you are talking to first 4. Decide what kind of language is important Each organization approaches its mission statement differently. Some use vision, some values some principles statements. 5. Adopt a format How will you communicate the message? Will it be in the annual company report, or framed on a plaque?
