Understanding Similar Shapes: Triangles and Their Properties
90 likes | 230 Vues
This guide explores the concept of shape similarity in geometry, particularly focusing on triangles. We address key questions, including examples of objects with the same shape but different sizes, the conditions for triangle similarity, and methods for drawing triangles of similar shapes. Learn how to identify congruent angles and proportional sides, and understand triangle enlargement and reduction techniques. Join our group led by Mike Richards Alburo, with contributions from Riva Alyana de los Reyes and members Anna Mae L. Cesneros, Charmagne Andal, and Hardy Visabella.

Group 10 (Astigianz)
Questions & Answers: 1. What are examples of objects that are of the same shape but of different size? * Golf ball and soccer ball
Questions & Answers: 2. Why do you say that two triangles have the same shape? * If the corresponding angles are congruent and their corresponding sides are proportional to each other.
Questions & Answers: 3. How do you draw triangles have the same shape? * By drawing a small triangle and a much larger triangle and their angles are congruent while their sides are proportional.
Questions & Answers: 4. How do you enlarge/ reduce a triangles? * By constructing another triangle with the same measure of their corresponding angles but their corresponding sides are proportional.
Questions & Answers: 5. When do you say that two triangles are similar? • * Two triangles are similar if they have the same shape regardless to their sizes • * Two triangles are said to be similar if and only if their corresponding angles are congruent and their corresponding sides are proportional.
