NASA Data System Standards Program Office Secretariat Updates • BTAS Contract to support CCSDS Secretariat was extended for one more year. • Personnel changes within the Secretariat • Thomas Gannett returns as the documentation specialist • His email: Thomas.Gannett@gsfc.nasa.gov or tgannett@mail.us.net NASA's Spring 2005 CMC Report

  3. NASA Data System Standards Program Office Status of the proposal to form a new TC • Mr. Abram (ISO) has directed the Management of TC20 (Mr. Matthew B. Williams) to respond to him by mid May 2005 as to the position of TC20 on the SC13 and SC 14 motion. • Regardless of the TC20 position, this matter will go in front of ISO Technical Management Board (TMB) for a vote during their mid year meeting. • United States ISO representative to the TMB was contacted and briefed on this issue. NASA Data System Standards Program Office NASA’s Items of General Interest to CMC • CCSDS Web Site Upgrade • Secretariat developed a new Web site consisting of coordinated set of pages containing new features and accessing new technologies. Totally new look and feel. • Collaborative Work Space created for the use at all levels of the organization. • Secretariat welcomes all inputs concerning the new web site. NASA’s Items of General Interest to CMC NASA Data System Standards Program Office • NASA names CCSDS Working Group Rapporteurs • Rapporteur’s main responsibility is to carry a common Nasa position to the WGs • Each WG of interest is covered • List of Rapporteurs is available from the Secretariat and was delivered to the CESG Chair NASA's Spring 2005 CMC Report

NASA is asking for an appointment of a CMC splinter group to address this issue. • All areas are reporting “progress”, but progress comparing to what? NASA's Spring 2005 CMC Report

NASA Data System Standards Program Office NASA’s Items of General Interest to CMC • Issues (Cont.) • Based on agreement during the last CMC meeting in Toulouse, CMC needs to give clear direction to CESG on future of the architecture work. See CMC 2004 Fall minutes. • NASA’s effort has switched from RASDS to Cross-Support Service Architecture development and will allocate zero $ to the RASDS effort next year.
