Analysis of Gas Theft Allegations and Data Skewing from 2003 to 2008

This report examines the theft of gas allegations received by Xoserve between April 1, 2007, and March 31, 2008. Data presentation has been modified to account for process changes that led to the retention of certain LSP TOG contacts with associated kWhs, subsequently influencing the data for that period. A comprehensive analysis covering the period from July 1, 2003, to March 31, 2008, is offered, with insights on cleared contacts and anomalies, while ensuring accuracy in reporting. The report includes statistics regarding valid theft contacts, providing clarity on this significant issue.

These were released in the period 01/01/08 to 31/03/08 and therefore the kWh figures would have been skewed for this period and for the period for which they were received. This skew in the periods pre and post 01/01/08 has been mitigated by presenting the figures for the whole period 01/07/03 to 31/03/08.
