  2. Requirements: 4 credits of English 4 credits of Math 4 credits of Science 4 credits of Social Studies 2 credits of Foreign Language ½ credit of Health 1 ½ credits of PE ½ credit of Speech 1 credit of Fine Arts 5 Credits of Electives TOTAL: 26

  3. World Language2 credits • Both credits must be in the same language • Languages offered: • Spanish • French • Sign Language

  4. Health Credit.5 credit • Must be : • .5 credit of Health Education • 1 credit of Health Science Technology

  5. Physical Education1.0 Credits • 1.0 physical education (one and done) PE Substitutions • Athletics (four credits can be earned) • Marching Band-1st semester only • Cheerleading- 1st semester only • ROTC • Angels

  6. Speech.5 Credit • Communication Applications

  7. Fine Arts1 credit • Must be full credit of one of the following • Choir • Band • Orchestra • Dance • Art • Theatre Arts • Music Theory (you should be able to read music) • Music History • Art History

  8. Tech Ed/Co-op • Some of these classes are two year commitments and take up 2 periods of your day. Please make sure you have room in your schedule-and don’t forget to apply on line for the Tech Ed programs. • Co-op you will need to request an application and apply with Ms. Watassek.

  9. Electives5.0 credits • Can choose any 5.0 credits of classes from any area • If they are in addition to what is required, they are considered an elective. • Ex. 3rd year of a foreign language or 5th year of science

  11. Choose electives wisely!!! • Elective schedule changes are not permitted after verifications sheets are returned!! • You are not allowed to drop a year long course at semester.

  15. You will need to set up a College Board website account and the access code printed on your PSAT paper score report

  16. Review your 4 year plan • The FBISD website has sample four year plans for review • Get involved in extracurricular activities and your community

  17. DUE DATES Course selection worksheets are due back to your social studies teacher by January 27. Online course selection will run from January 25-February 6.
