  1. Italy Italy has an area of 301,230 km2 Italy is a country in southern Europe. It consists of a peninsula and two large islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia.

  2. Capital city • Rome is the capital city of Italy,with 2546000 inhabitants. Rome has an area of1.285.km2

  3. Old buildings • Colosseum is an amphitheater in Rome. Construction started in 72,during the reign of Vespasian.

  4. Flag • The first Italian flag adopted in1798 ,the flag state  Republica Cispadana.

  5. Highest peaks in the Alps • The highest peaks of the Alps areMonte Cervino (4478 meters), Monte Rosa(4634meters) and the highest peak Mon Blanc(4807meters)
