  2. What is “living with divine oneness”? Unifying the Source (Tawhid) Witnessing/seeing the One in every thing… Teaching of the messengers of the One

  3. Saying of Muhammad (p): “Oh Lord, show us things as they are.”

  4. “How long will you be attached with the shape of the jug? Leave aside the jug’s shape: Go, seek water!” - Rumi

  5. “Day and night, the Sea keeps on churning the foam. You behold the foam but not the Sea – how strange!” - Rumi

  6. And in the Earth are signs for those who comprehend. And within yourselves; do you not see - Quran, 51:20-21

  7. What do we see/witness? • Living with divine oneness, we see/witness: • Not healers, only the One • Not sustainers, only the One • Not powerful sources, only the One • Not compassionate sources, only the One • By observing the universe and ourselves, we witness: • Not deities, only the One. • The motto of divine oneness… • negation/affirmation

  8. Superficial belief of divine oneness We say: “Almighty God is One, He has no partner or like. This universe is His.”

  9. Living with Divine Oneness To see the attributes of the One in every thing. To open a window directly onto His light from every thing. To attain to perpetual awareness of the Divine presence.

  10. Saying of Muhammad (p): “The best thing I and the messengers before me have said is: not deities, only One God.”

  11. Two Ways to Experience Life The choice is ours: Reality or Illusion

  12. Abu Hurayra reported that Muhammad (p), said, “God says: I asked you for food and you did not feed Me. He (His servant) will say: Lord, how could I feed You when You did not ask me for food and You are the Lord of the universe? God will say: Do you not know that My servant so-and-so asked you for food and you did not feed him? Do you not know that if you had fed him, you would have found Me there?

  13. Son of Adam, I asked you for water and you did not give Me water. The servant will reply: O Lord, how could I give you water when You are the Lord of the universe? He will say: My servant so-and-so asked you for water and you did not give him water. Do you not know that if you had given him water, you would have found Me there?

  14. Son of Adam: I was sick and you did not visit Me. He will say: O Lord, how could I visit You when You are the Lord of the universe? He will say: Do you not know that My servant so-and-so was sick. If you had visited him you would have found Me there. (Muslim Hadith Collection)
