  4. Do You Wanna be on the Board?! • Elections will be held on February 3rd • In order to run, you must attend the next board meeting • Monday 27th in Rm. 221

  5. Elections • FOR THOSE RUNNING: • Give a 2-minute speech • No Q&A session (you’re welcome) • You may only run for two positions max • Re-running candidates will give a second speech • Submit a PowerPoint slide (upcoming slides) • NO NEGATIVE CAMPAIGNING ***All board positions require SIGNIFICANT time investment, as well as the capacity to plan and carry through

  6. Elections • PowerPoint slide must have: • Name • Picture • Other Involvements • ~25 word personal message • These will be standardized • If you do not have PowerPoint, talk to a board member and we will set you up with a slide

  8. President • Preside over all general and board meetings • Plan all Key Club events • Perform club administration • Act as the school/community liaison • Train/educate general members • Plan strategy and set goals • Provide supportive leadership

  9. Vice President • Support the President • Head all meetings in absence of President • Plan programs and education • Send out Ms. Key Club texts • Support all other board positions • Attend all meetings

  10. Secretary • Maintain all Key Club-related documents • Must be organized, give access to other board members • Take notes at board meetings • Send out weekly Key Club emails • Post on Facebook about updates • Review all members’ hours • Submit a Monthly Report Form (MRF) to the District Level

  11. Treasurer • Collect all club funds, collection, distribution, etc. • Work with club bank account • Record all expenditures and income • Deposit club funds • Connection to club advisor • Coordinate dues collection and payment • Maintain accurate financial records

  12. Webmaster • Maintain Key Club website • Knowledge of web design required • Excellent if there is knowledge of code

  13. Public Relations • Manage club communication • Organize social events • Maintain Key Club bulletin board

  14. Elections Public Relations will be limited to underclassmen only (no rising seniors) Webmaster position will be appointed by Affan In the unlikely chance of any vacant positions, Kenny and Mary will select the new board member

  15. Important! • Remember we said we are going to post everyone’s hours?  • Half-year GOAL: 12.5 service hours

  19. Photo Contest! • Take pictures at all events/volunteer opportunities • Email your picture to Arisa Sato • Winner will be selected, and winning picture will be shown at the next Key Club meeting • Reward: Receive a King Size candy bar :D • Pictures are for the Key Club scrapbook

  21. Pop Tabs AmeenahAlauddin Ronald McDonald House Liaison • There will be two huge Key Club bins • One in the Main Office • Other in the cafeteria near the microwave • Place pop tabs from sodas in there • This helps support the Ronald McDonald House Foundation

  22. Busy Bags • Collect bags for children at Dublin Methodist Hospital • Each bag is 1 hour • Max of 5 hours per person • It will be soon • Leader from general membership! • Talk to Chloe Shevlin for more information

Our largest fundraiser~ • Heads up: You will receive one bag of Anthony Thomas candy bars soon • First dibs to those who didn’t get one last time • Each bag = 30 candy bars • Equal distributions of each type: caramel, crunch, almond, and peanut butter • Please sell ALL 30 for $1 each • You are responsible for selling them! • You will receive 1 hour

  24. Rock N Bowl • Raise money in prevention of child abuse • All proceeds go to the Nationwide Children’s Hopsital • This year’s team leader: Danielle Eastham • In addition to Meghan Munson and Yusun Kim, need a team of five • Raise $250 (approx. $50 each) • Feb. 1st at the Columbus Golden Palace • 3-5pm slot

March 8th, Fight for Air Climb at Rhodes Tower • To increase public awareness and raise much-needed funds for advocacy, education, and research in support of ALA • Being their largest event of the year, they need volunteers: • Registration • Greeting • Water station monitors, etc. • All volunteers are required to register online • There will be a mandatory volunteer training

  27. Horizon Elementary • January 31stis the Father-Daughter dance • 6:00pm – 8:00pm • Need volunteers! • February 28this the Mother-Son game night • 6:00pm – 8:00pm • More information will be posted on FB
