  10. Community engagement • Receive and distributes grants from governments to schools • Negotiate with religious/ political leaders to resolve conflicts • Protect school building • Prevent early marriages, dowry etc

  11. Curriculum and materials • Revised curriculum ensuring gender sensitivity mostly done by NGOs • Make learning/teaching transformative so that gender sensitive curriculum helps girls’ positively change

  12. Recommendations • Facilitate civil society-led review and revision of curriculum and materials to be gender-sensitive • Facilitate engendering educational managers through field visits to other countries • Facilitate documentation of best practices (e.g., audio visuals)
