  3. Electronic Recommendation from College • 24-48 hours • No Temporaries/Conditionals for not passing Praxis • Sub-Auth Available • Not to be used in lieu of Praxis In-State

Complete a teacher preparation program • Professional core • Student teaching/3 years experience • College/University Credits • Transcripts • Experience • Regionally Accredited • HQT • Pre-2013 • Praxis II https://www.educateiowa.gov/pk-12/educator-quality/practitioner-preparation • edTPA – June 2014 Out-of-state

  8. Class B • ½ Course Work for Shortage Areas • 2/3 Course Work for Non-Shortage Areas • Two School Years • Administrative Decision • Diligent Search • Teach Iowa Conditional License

Coaching Authorization • Including Volunteers • Temporary Permits only if--- • Application submitted • Fees submitted • Course work complete • Background check submitted; State DCI and Registries clear • Written request from District Admin. or Activities Director • E-mail will suffice.   10. After two years in a Public School • 1) Recommend for Standard License • 2) Recommend for a Third Year Initial • 3) Deny Future Licensure • Submit even if teacher not submitting application (separate form will be available shortly). Initial LIcense
