The UWI's MSc in International Trade Policy (MITP) study tour component aims to provide hands-on experience at the 'Nexus' of trade policy. This program demystifies trade-related institutions, bridging theory and practice. The goal is to equip and empower for multidisciplinary trade policy formulation, implementation, and analysis. The study tour lasts 4 weeks, featuring visits to core institutions like UNCTAD and WTO, workshops, and interactions with key resource persons. Assessment includes formal collaboration with CARICOM missions. Future enhancements may include more student participation, specialist attention, and involving researchers/practitioners.
