  2. Purpose of the Program • Student and/or stakeholder needs addressed by the program • Providing quality instruction and early intervention for 3-5 year old students with developmental delays • Parent input in the IEP process

  3. Service Delivery Model • Special Education Evaluations • Special Education Services for children ages 3-5 • Eligibility – must meet DESE guidelines for a Young Child with a Developmental Delay • 173 students in different programs

  4. Service Delivery Model • Special Education Services for children ages 3-5 • Program Options (based on child’s needs) • Itinerant Services • Home-Based • Preschool Classrooms • ECSE / Title I Blended Classrooms • Early Childhood Special Education Classrooms

  5. Progress Toward Previous Program Goal GOAL: Increase student achievement in the area of literacy. Objective: • 75% of ECSE students will demonstrate age appropriate skills in literacy development. RESULTS: • 79% of 3 year old students received a “meets” on literacy standards on the Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment • 81% of 4 year old students received a “meets” on literacy standards on the Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment

  6. Progress Toward Previous Program Goal GOAL 2: Increase parent satisfaction with parent input in the IEP process. Objective: • 97% of parents will report satisfaction with the level of parent input in the IEP process. Results: • 97% of parents reported satisfaction with their level of input in the IEP process.

  7. Progress Toward Previous Program Goal GOAL STATUS: Goals Met DEPLOYMENT LEVEL: Services are well deployed, with no significant gaps.

  8. Future Program Goals to be Evaluated • Increase parent involvement • Increase parent satisfaction with parent/teacher communication
