  7. Interesting facts • The oldest grave belongs to Mary Randolph. She was Robert E. Lee’s godmother. She was buried on the grounds on 1828, long before Arlington was a cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Lee lived in Arlington house in 1831 – 1861.
