Understanding Transfer Student Experiences at Penn State Harrisburg

This study explores the experiences of transfer students at Penn State Harrisburg. Conducted in Fall 2011, our research reveals that a significant portion of transfer students (75% female) come from diverse educational backgrounds, with 44% transferring from other colleges. Main reasons for transferring include academic majors and campus dissatisfaction. Our findings indicate that 63% prefer PSH to their previous institutions, and 69% enjoy the campus food services. Overall, most students find the transfer process manageable and have successfully made new friends.
