This report analyzes the mathematics performance in the Kaiserslautern District schools, highlighting the need for an additional Math Instructional Support Specialist (ISS) position. In comparing reading and math outcomes, we observe that 15 out of 22 schools conducting the TerraNova assessment fall below the mathematics standard, with more schools continuing to underperform over two consecutive years. The Kaiserslautern District houses a significantly higher student enrollment in grades 9-12, reinforcing the urgency for enhanced math support to meet educational goals.
