The 7th JCADM Meeting convened in July in Brussels with participation from 31 SCAR, 29 COMNAP, and 26 JCADM members, representing 18 nations including New Zealand, Belgium, and the US. The meeting focused on educating emerging countries on the Antarctic Master Directory (AMD) and data management protocols. Key actions included documenting NADCs' databases, enhancing services at the AMD portal, and promoting the creation of national portals. In just one year, the AMD saw an increase in DIFs from 2406 to 2799, highlighting significant progress in Antarctic data management.

Antarctic Master Directory Update • Australian Antarctic Data Center had MD8 installed and running • More DIFs in the Antarctic Master Directory (AMD),http://gcmd.nasa.gov/Data/portals/amd/ • 2799 DIFs in the AMD, up from 2406 in September 2002 or over 393 new DIFs this past year!
