  29. Money • Fraud • Significant time in investigation and recovery • Zero/low-income clients • Waiting list • 2,500 applications in 2009 • Reduction in HUD funding • Rise in cost of housing assistance payments • Portability

  31. Safe, affordable housing 292 families have safe, affordable rental housing. 40 of our families have used the portability feature and live in housing outside of Volusia County. 17 families have entered into our Family Self Sufficiency program. Our fraud investigation recovered $20,241 during the last fiscal year.

  32. Family Self Sufficiency Program A recent graduate was issued a non taxable check for $ 2,498.00 for successfully completing the program and increasing her family’s self sufficiency.
