  1. Powered by Quickfilter Pro Software Demonstration for QF4A512 The following slides will illustrate how you can design and verify a filter design in minutes! BEGIN

  2. The Quickfilter Assistant When you start the program the assistant appears, which can be used to guide you through the design process. END

  3. The Quickfilter Assistant END

  4. 1. Design a Filter We will dismiss the assistant by clicking on the icon to design a new filter. END

  5. Select Filter Type The first step is to pick the type of filter. We will choose the basic Parks-McClellan Lowpass END

  6. Enter Filter Parameters On this screen we can enter our desired filter specifications: (Sampling f, Passband Upper f, Stopband Lower f, Passband Ripple, and Stopband Attenuation) END

  7. Enter Filter Parameters When we’ve entered the parameters we click “Design”. END

  8. View Calculated performance On this screen you can choose your filter type We will select “Lowpass”, then click “Create Filter” Software computes number of taps required and plots predicted frequency response… END

  9. View Calculated performance On this screen you can choose your filter type We will select “Lowpass”, then click “Create Filter” …and Impulse Response END

  10. Assistant Always Available Notice we can bring back the assistant at any time by clicking here. END

  11. 2. Configure the Quickfilter IC For each channel: Specify the filter design to use, the gain, and power / precision options….. ….and system clock options (if required) END

  12. Configure the Quickfilter IC Software optimizes sample rates for all selected channels. The Configuration is now complete, we can download this configuration and see how it works! END

  13. 3. Control the Development Board First, download your configuration to the IC Then, select View FFT END

  14. View the FFT of the Actual IC Output The input signal source is from a white noise file, connected to the development kit board from the PC audio output jack. END

  15. View the FFT of the Actual IC Output FFT output views can be a single channel, or up to 4 channels simultaneously. END

  16. View the FFT of the Actual IC Output If a change to the design is desired, the steps can be repeated, and reloaded into the IC within minutes. END

  17. Complete Development Kit All required cables and software are included in the Development Kit Thank you for viewing the demo, return to the website for more details END
