The Florida Small Cities CDBG Program, part of the Department of Economic Opportunity, aims to enhance economic development in local communities. By providing grants, low-interest loans, and financial assistance for projects, this initiative has successfully created new jobs and fostered local business growth. With over $8 million awarded for various projects, the program has already supported the creation of numerous full-time equivalent positions. Going forward, the focus will be on strengthening partnerships, exploring innovative funding approaches, and responding to emerging economic needs.
